Accessibility

If the website is in your way, ring us and skip it.

No part of getting care here depends on being able to use this site. The phone is a first-class route, not a fallback.

The short version

You never have to fill in a form to be seen. Ring (08) 8004 2420 and somebody will take it from there. Someone else can ring on your behalf, and you can bring an interpreter or a support person to any appointment.

What we have built in

  • Text contrast that meets WCAG 2.1 AA against every background used on the site.
  • The whole site works from a keyboard, with a visible focus ring and a skip-to-content link.
  • All decorative artwork is marked as decorative so a screen reader passes over it, and the emblem carries a real description.
  • Animation respects the reduced-motion setting on your device: if it is on, things simply appear rather than sliding.
  • Nothing on the site relies on colour alone to make sense.
  • Text resizes when you zoom, and the layout works down to a narrow phone.
  • The intake form asks for four things and none of them are about your health.

Low bandwidth

The artwork on this site is drawn rather than photographed, which means it is a few kilobytes rather than a few megabytes. That is a deliberate choice for people on a patchy connection in a regional town, not a stylistic one.

Appointments

Phone consultations are offered on the same terms as video ones. If video is difficult where you are, or you would rather not be on camera, say so and phone is used instead.

Tell us what is broken

If something here does not work for you, we want to know: ring us, or use the contact page. Tell us what you were trying to do and what got in the way, and we will fix it rather than explain it.
